Beiträge zur sorbischen Phonetik und Phonologie. Teil 2 – Zum Lautsystem des Niedersorbischen: Die sekundäre Affrikate <tš> ← *tr

Der Aufsatz beschäftigt sich mit der Aussprache und dem phonologischen Status von <tš> ← *tr (wie in tšach ‚Angst‘) im Vergleich zu einigen historisch bzw. phonetisch verwandten Lautstrukturen im Niedersorbischen. Es wird akustisch-phonetisch nachge­wiesen, dass diese Struktur neben der Aussprache als eine einfache Affrikate auch deut­lich komplexe Realisationen vom Typ Affrikate + Frikativ und Plosiv + Frikativ aufweist. Folglich wird <tš> ← *tr biphonematisch als /t-ʂ/ interpretiert. Zum Schluss werden ent­sprechende orthoepische Vorschläge formuliert.

This essay deals with the pronunciation and the phonological status of <tš> ← *tr (as in tšach ʻfearʼ) compared with some historically and phonetically related sound structures in Lower Sorbian. It demonstrates acoustically and phonetically that this structure ex­hibits significantly complex characteristics of the type affricative + fricative and plosive + fricative, as well as its pronunciation as a simple affricative. As a result, <tš> ← *tr is interpeted biphonematically as /t-ʂ/. In conclusion, we formulate some appropriate ortho­epic suggestions.
